Gobble up this healthy pumpkin spice latte

Fall has officially arrived. The leaves are changing colours, the chunky knit sweaters are being pulled out from closets and Starbuck’s irresistible PSL has finally arrived. If you haven’t yet hopped on the bandwagon, that’s Starbucks’ famous Pumpkin Spice Latte. Each harvest season, the frothy goodness is celebrated for it’s delicious, creamy yet spicy taste (Interesting Fact: There are now over 29 000 tweets featuring #pumpkinspice). 
The downside is that a 16oz Grande size weighs in at almost 400 calories! At this rate, you will need to hop in your fitness gear daily to burn off this beloved autumnal delicacy.

1 Shot of Espresso
½ Cup -Fresh Pumpkin Puree
1 cup – Unsweetened Almond Milk
2 tbsp – Sugar Free Maple Syrup or Honey
½ tsp – Cinnamon
¼ tsp - Nutmeg
¼ tsp - Ground Cloves
2 tbsp - Vanilla Extract
1. In a pan, mix together the almond milk and the pumpkin puree. Cook on medium heat and bring to a simmer.
2. Remove from heat. Add the honey, vanilla extract, nutmeg, ground cloves and cinnamon.
3. Froth the milk and add it to the espresso shot.
4. Sprinkle a little bit of cinnamon on top.
